Arsalan Hashem Jawaheri is na zijn rechtenstudie aan de VU Amsterdam direct begonnen als docent aan dezelfde universiteit in hoedanigheid van docent-onderzoeker. Hij rondde zijn opleiding cum laude af op twee verschillende rechtsgebieden. Na zijn docentschap, is hij als advocaat werkzaam geweest bij een gerenommeerd advocatenkantoor op de Zuidas, waar hij ook de beroepsopleiding aan The Law Firm School heeft afgerond.
